Maths Week at Oakfield House School

At Oakfield House School this week the whole school has participated in Maths Week, which has seen all the pupils working together towards completing tasks and activities that have a maths theme.

This has included using their skills to create and design boxes for pizzas, chocolates and biscuits, which the pupils have weighed, measured, created and divided into fractions themselves ready to take home.

The whole week has demonstrated to the pupils that maths can be enjoyable, fun and allowed them to be creative with their results.

It has seen some of the pupils learn that they can enjoy Maths and surprise them in the ways they were using maths, allowing them to gain confidence in their ability.
